HOW OUR DETAIL-ORIENTATED CLEANING CREW

RETOOLED A FACILITY’S APPROACH TO EFFICIENCY

At first glance, cleaning and efficiency might seem like separate issues. But for a truly committed cleaning team, everything is connected—and since dumpsters are part of the job, they’re something we tend to notice.

Keeping It Clean
At one busy manufacturing plant, we were brought in with a simple mission: keep the facility clean. In addition to the normal areas, like bathrooms and offices, we cleaned the floor in the production areas, to make sure they were ready for the next day.

Paying Attention To The Details
Every day, when our cleaning team went about its business, specifically when they went to empty the trash and recycling, they noticed that this facility went through a lot of dumpsters. Six or seven new dumpsters, every day, were filled with the empty pallets that parts had arrived on. Pallets take up a lot of space, and you have to get rid of them, so for an operation of this scale, pallet disposal was an accepted cost of doing business. The priority was simply to have the pallets removed.

Improving the environment
For us, cleaning isn’t just about mopping floors or taking out the trash—it’s about improving the environments people work in. And that’s in the details. So when that small mountain of discarded pallets was taking up space, costing money, and slowing things down, we approached our client with a solution.

Going Beyond the Job Description
Our solution was simple but effective: we brought in someone to break the pallets down onsite. That small operational shift meant that instead of filling seven dumpsters a day, they now just filled one. Recycling the pallets led to less waste piling up, clutter, a more streamlined waste stream, and with the savings from 6 dumpsters a day, the company could reinvest in improving overall cleanliness and the resulting operational efficiencies that produced. The facility became more cost effective, cleaner, more organized, and more productive.

Big efficiencies can be found in little details
Our cleaning crews are trained to focus on the details. That’s the difference. Because we know that if we help clients get each day’s mess out of the way, they’ll be able to come to work, concentrate on the task at hand, and work more efficiently too.
